About Oshkosh

Oshkosh Corporation is a United States based industrial company that is centered around the designing and development of specialty trucks, military vehicles, and other equipment. Oshkosh was first established in 1917 as the Wisconsin Duplex Auto Company, and their initial operations consisted of the development of a severe-duty four-wheel-drive truck. Their first model, now called “Old Betsy” was completed soon after and serves in parades and demonstrations to this day. Their first mass-produced truck model came in 1918 and was named the Model A, and Oshkosh produced seven units in total. These orders greatly influenced the direction of the company, and they began undertaking multiple defense contracts over the years to develop heavy equipment transporters, Joint Light Tactical Vehicles, and other tactical trucks. In more present years, Oshkosh has continued to design and manufacture trucks for commercial and defense industries, and they have recently been named one of the world’s most ethical companies by Ethisphere.
